Telangana Launches “Telangana MSME Greening Summit – A Ramp Initiative”
The summit focused on deliberations between policymakers, senior government officials, MSMEs, industry associations, financial institutions, technology providers, startups, and ecosystem partners to promote sustainable industrial transformation across MSMEs in Telangana

D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries, ITE&C and Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Telangana, unveiled the Telangana MSME Greening Portal and the MSME Assessment toolkit.
Hyderabad: Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), a Telangana State innovation ecosystem enabler under the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana, and the Hyderabad S&T Cluster under Office of Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India, organised the “Telangana MSME Greening Summit – A RAMP Initiative” at HITEX Exhibition Centre on 26th May 2026.
At the Telangana MSME Greening Summit, D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries, ITE&C and Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Telangana, unveiled the Telangana MSME Greening Portal and the MSME Assessment toolkit that were developed with an intent to serve as a single point touchpoint for MSME industries in the State to learn about the RAMP programme and get associated with the initiative. Senior officials from Directorate of Industries, TGSPDCL, MSME DFO and TGIIC later launched sectoral technology compendiums.

“Telangana is committed to building a future-ready industrial economy where sustainability and economic growth move together. Through the RAMP: Greening of MSMEs initiative, we are enabling industries, especially MSMEs, to adopt cleaner technologies, improve resource efficiency, and become globally competitive. MSMEs are the backbone of Telangana’s economy, and their transition towards green manufacturing is essential for achieving the vision of a ‘Rising Telangana.’ The launch of the Telangana MSME Greening Dashboard and associated digital tools reflects Telangana’s commitment to technology-driven governance and data-backed clean industrial transformation. Our objective is not only to support industrial growth, but to position Telangana as a national leader in sustainable and responsible industrial development,” said Sridhar Babu.
Nikhil Chakravarthy, Director of Industries, Government of Telangana, stated that: “The RAMP initiative provides a significant opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability of MSMEs across Telangana. Telangana is implementing the programme through a convergence-driven approach involving multiple implementing agencies, technical institutions, financial partners, utilities, and industry associations working collaboratively across the various RAMP subcomponents. The initiative is focused on strengthening institutional capacity, improving market access, enabling technology adoption, promoting quality and sustainability, supporting cluster development, and accelerating MSME competitiveness. The Telangana MSME Greening Dashboard launched as part of this initiative will serve as an important digital platform for monitoring, engagement, and ecosystem coordination.”
