Telangana Launches Advanced Skill Centres to Boost Youth Employment
Advanced skill training centres coming up in erstwhile Adilabad areas

Adilabad: State government is building Advanced Technical Skill Training Centres in all districts of Telangana as part of its initiative to impart various professional skills to students and youth, so that they can be gainfully employed.
These advanced training centres (ATCs) will be attached to the existing Industrial Training Institute (ITIs). Separate buildings are being built to house these centres, each of which will cost ₹4.76 crore.
Telangana government has teamed up with Tata Technologies to establish these ATCs along with the necessary equipment, which will help hone the skills of youth and students in various professions. The company will conduct long and short term and bridge courses for youth, so that they have the necessary skills to secure jobs.
It is said in addition to imparting skills to youth, these centres will also create employment avenues for them.
Total 65 centres are being established in the state during the first phase. Within the erstwhile Adilabad district, these centres are coming up at Adilabad, Utnoor, Mancherial and Jannaram. Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) will monitor the functioning of these advanced training centres.
The Utnoor centre will be of great help to poor educated unemployed youth, especially those belonging to tribal communities.
Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju told Deccan Chronicle that the state government wants to impart skills to unemployed youth using modern technology, including machines and tools, with the support of Tata Technologies.
The MLA said students trained using modern technology will bring development not within their own area but also the state.
Vedma Bojju had recently laid the foundation stone for constructing the building of the advanced training centre in Utnoor.
