Telangana: Hyd Man Dies After Fall Into Gorge Near Gundam Waterfall

The deceased was identified as Syed Atharuddin, a resident of Gajularamaram in Hyderabad.

According to police, Atharuddin had gone trekking with three friends to Gundam Waterfall near Arunachalapuram village in Wazeedu mandal.

While making his way through the forest towards the waterfall, he allegedly slipped near the edge and plunged into a deep gorge, suffering fatal injuries.

Police said the group had entered the restricted forest area despite a ban imposed by the forest department prohibiting public access to the waterfall.

Authorities believe the group violated the entry restrictions before the accident occurred.

After receiving information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and shifted it to the Eturnagaram Area Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, the police said.
