Telangana Hikes Upper Age Limit by 2 More Years for Uniformed Services
GO Ms. No. 122, issued by the general administration department on Friday said the latest relaxation came in addition to the five-year increase granted through GO 87 on May 18, 2026.

Hyderabad: The government has increased the upper age limit by another two years for direct recruitment to uniformed services which will give eligible candidates a total relaxation of seven years over the prescribed age limit. The order applies to recruitment in the police, fire, prisons, Special Protection Force, excise, transport and forest departments.
GO Ms. No. 122, issued by the general administration department on Friday said the latest relaxation came in addition to the five-year increase granted through GO 87 on May 18, 2026. That relaxation was granted for a period of one year from May 18. The government said it had received several representations from unemployed youth seeking a further relaxation so that more candidates could compete in the recruitment process.
