Telangana High Court Bids Farewell To Acting CJ Sujoy Paul

The Full Court of the Telangana High Court on Wednesday bid a grand farewell to Acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul, who has been transferred to the Calcutta High Court.

Hyderabad:The Full Court of the Telangana High Court on Wednesday bid a grand farewell to Acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul, who has been transferred to the Calcutta High Court. Senior Judge Justice P. Sam Koshy, in his address, praised Justice Paul’s commitment, dedication, and contributions to the bench.

Advocate General Sudarshan Reddy highlighted several notable judgments, including one affirming that married daughters are equally entitled to compassionate appointments if they meet the dependency criteria. During his 255-day tenure at the Telangana High Court, Justice Paul disposed of 4,223 main cases and around 5,000 miscellaneous applications.

The farewell ceremony was attended by Additional Solicitor General Narasimha Sharma, Public Prosecutor Palle Nageswara Rao, State Bar Council chairman A. Narasimha Reddy, Additional Advocate Generals Imran Khan and Tera Rajanikanth Reddy, members of the High Court Advocates Association executive body, and Justice Paul’s family. Later, the Telangana High Court Advocates Association held a felicitation programme in his honour.
