Telangana HC Relief for Landowners Facing Corridor Acquisition
Interim relief protects properties of petitioners challenging acquisition proceedings for the elevated corridor.

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has issued an interim suspension of further land acquisition proceedings affecting a few properties along the proposed Rajiv Rahadari Elevated Corridor Project, providing temporary relief to landowners who challenged the acquisition process.
Justice K. Sarath passed the interim order while hearing a batch of petitions filed by individuals whose properties fall along the proposed project alignment.
The petitioners sought suspension of all further proceedings pursuant to the Form-VII notifications published in the Hyderabad District Gazette on June 19, 2026, including several notifications issued under Rule 25 and Section 19(1) of the 2013 Land Acquisition Act, insofar as they related to their properties.
The petitioners pointed out that the High Court had already granted similar interim relief in a connected matter in December 2025 and urged the court to extend the same protection to them to maintain consistency.
Accordingly, the court ordered an interim suspension of further acquisition proceedings concerning the petitioners' properties.
