Hyderabad: The vacation bench of the Telangana High Court was not inclined to hear the urgent hearing of bail pleas by scam-hit Heera Gold managing director Nowhera Shaik.
The court said to her to file petitions before the trial court. Challenging the NBWs issued by the trial court, Nowhera`s counsel Samala Ravinder filed the petitions two days ago seeking to set aside the NBWs issued and he also requested to grant bail, if in the event of execution of NBWs.
However, the CCS police arrested Nowhera on Tuesday in Haryana. The trial court had issued NBWs as she did not appear before the court in the cases filed against her in 2019 and 2025 in relation to non- payment of money to the depositors of Heera Gold Pvt Ltd.
On Wednesday, when the petitions came before the vacation bench headed by Justice K. Sarath, the court said that the petitions have become infructuous, as the petitioner was already arrested and produced before the magistrate.
At this juncture, the counsel Samala Ravinder requested to allow him to move an urgent bail petition to release Nowhera Shaik. Justice Sarath was not inclined to hear the bail petitions on lunch motion and said to approach the trial court for bail.
At the same point, the counsels for Nowhera filed a regular bail petition before the Nampally Magistrate court, which heard the arguments and adjourned to tomorrow for the contentions of police.
