Rs 1,230 cr Rythu Bandhu released to farmers with 3 acres
The Telangana government has released funds under the 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme for farmers owning up to 3 acres.

Hyderabad: The state government released Rs 1,230 crore as the fifth tranche of Rythu Bandhu to 9,56,422 beneficiaries. An amount of `38.34 crore was also released to 56,898 farmers with land under two acres whose account details were updated.
A total of 3,487.82 crore was released to the 44,82,265 farmers, covering 58.13 lakh acres. The process of releasing the amount started on January 26, covering one village per Mandal in 557 pilot villages. In the first tranche, 557.64 crore was deposited for 9.29 lakh acres, benefitting 17.02 lakh farmers. In the second round, 13.23 lakh farmers cultivating 18.19 lakh acres benefitted from a deposit of 1,091.95 crore. After this, 1,269.32 crore was deposited in the accounts of 10.13 lakh farmers tilling 21.12 lakh acres.
Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao appealed to the farmers to use the funds released for investing in farming and promised to release funds to the remaining farmers also.
