Revanth Reddy ordered officials to implement more transparent procedures to resolve Prajavani petitions

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday said that the Prajavani program has been conducted successfully since its launch in December 2023.

The Chief Minister conducted a review of the status of the applications submitted by the people so far in the Prajavani, which is being organized for two days a week at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan. He inquired about the procedures followed by the officials to address the people’s grievances and pending applications till the date.

On Monday, Revanth Reddy held a meeting attended by Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Planning Board Vice Chairman G Chinna Reddy, Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, Prajavani Nodal Officer D Divya and senior officials of various departments.

The officials briefed the Chief Minister that special desks have been set up in Prajavani for various departments and a special Pravasi Prajavani set up to resolve the issues of Gulf victims. All arrangements have been made without any hassle for petitioners and urgent applications are being resolved on the spot.

Ambulance facilities have also been made available during the Prajavani program.

Prajavani has been conducted 117 times in which people registered 54,619 petitions. Of these, 68.4 percent (37384) petitions have been addressed , officials informed to the Chief Minister.

Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to implement more transparent and efficient procedures to resolve Prajavani petitions expeditiously. The Prajavani program being conducted in the district centers should be linked with the Prajavani dashboard held in Praja Bhavan, Chief Minister said, emphasizing that the issues at the Mandal , Division level and District level should be resolved on the spot.

Instructing officials to provide him with live access to the Prajavani dashboard, the CM said that he will also be able to know the resolution of Prajavani petitions and what kind of applications were being received from the public.

It will also be faster to direct officials concerned on the steps to be taken to resolve the petitions instantly. Revanth Reddy also instructed the officials to provide the details of applications as well as the information of various schemes being implemented by the government available online in a transparent manner.

He advised that this portal should be created so that everyone can know the beneficiaries of government schemes and the progress of their implementation in a transparent manner. The Chief Minister asked the officials to review in advance which information should be kept confidential according to the laws in force without compromising the personal security of the people.

He ordered that a committee be formed at the officer level and guidelines be prepared for the same.
