Telangana Government Hikes MeeSeva Service Charges by 50%

The state government has issued an official Government Order (GO) implementing the revised tariff structure

Hyderabad: Service charges at MeeSeva centres across Telangana have been revised upwards from April 1, with the minimum fee increased from ₹35 to ₹62, according to orders issued by the commissioner, ESD (MeeSeva), IT, Electronics and Communications Department.

Under the revised structure, Category A services such as re-issuance of certificates, encumbrance certificates and birth certificate prints will cost `62. Category B services, including income, community, residence, OBC, EWS and EBC certificates, food security card services and electricity connections, have been fixed at `80.

Officials said the revision replaces the earlier uniform minimum charge of ₹35, with several commonly accessed services now placed in the ₹80 category. Service timelines range from seven days to up to 60 days depending on the service, while some services do not have a fixed timeframe.

The notification also specifies charges for utility-related services. ePass biometric authentication remains at ₹35, while farmer registration is priced at ₹18. Services such as court case intimation eKYC, quarterly tax payments, driving licence fee payments and learner’s licence slot booking are set at ₹62.

Electricity bill payments under TGS PDCL and TGN PDCL follow a slab system, ranging from ₹4 for bills up to ₹200 to ₹44 for bills above ₹2,500.

Additional charges apply for document handling, with scanning and printing beyond four pages priced at ₹2.50 per page.

MeeSeva centres have been directed to implement the revised rates. Citizens can report complaints related to overcharging through helpline numbers 1100 or 1800 425 1110.
