Telangana got up to Rs 2 lakh crore investment proposals in one year

Hyderabad: The state government has received proposals to invest nearly Rs 2 lakh crore in the last one year. Of this, investment proposals worth Rs 40,000 crore came during the Davos Summit, and another set of proposals for investing Rs 33,000 crore came during the US and South Korea tour by a delegation of the industries department.

Business delegates, who met industries minister D. Sridhar Babu in Hyderabad, have announced their commitment to invest Rs 20,000 crore so far and the companies have come forward to make an announcement of Rs 7,500 crore during the last day of Praja Palana Vijayotsava celebrations on December 9.

Sridhar Babu said that the Cabinet sub-committee had given approval for the industries to the tune of Rs 14,433 crore out of 16 mega projects which came forward to invest Rs 70,000 crore. It has given consent to improve all the required infrastructure like power, roads and water facility etc.

TGIIC also provided land to 368 investors, who have already grounded works for Rs 9,000 crore works in the last one year. These units will provide employment to 30,000 members on completion of works and launch of their operations.

The state government also started infrastructure development works with an outlay of Rs 1,500 crore in 2000 acres of MSME Parks in the districts.
