Telangana Gets its First 'Gen Z' Post Office at NIT-Warangal

She said the initiative aims to make postal services more accessible and appealing to younger users, particularly the campus community

WARANGAL: Telangana’s first ‘Gen Z’-themed post office was inaugurated at the NIT Warangal campus in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. The facility was jointly opened by NIT-W director Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi and Hyderabad Region Postmaster General Sumitha Ayodhya.

Sumitha said the new post office features vibrant interiors and a Wi-Fi-enabled interactive space, offering a wide range of modern, integrated services for students and campus staff, including parcel booking, banking, insurance, Aadhaar services, QR-based payments and Speed Post with special student discounts.

She said the initiative aims to make postal services more accessible and appealing to younger users, particularly the campus community.

As part of the inauguration, outreach and awareness programmes were held, during which many students and staff availed banking, insurance and Speed Post services.

NIT-W registrar Sunil Kumar Mehta, Superintendent of Post Offices (Hanamkonda division) Narendra Babu, faculty, students and postal staff attended the event.
