Traffic restrictions will be imposed on roads leading to Parade Grounds and surrounding areas depending on crowd movement.

Hyderabad:The Malkajgiri traffic police have announced traffic restrictions in view of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Parade Ground in Secunderabad on Tuesday. Traffic restrictions will be imposed on roads leading to Parade Grounds and surrounding areas depending on crowd movement.

Police suggested alternative routes for motorists. Commuters travelling from Begumpet to Sangeet Junction were advised to take the Paradise-Patny-Clock Tower route, while those heading towards Trimulgherry should travel via St John’s Rotary, Shenoy Nursing Home, AOC and KV crossroads.

Motorists travelling from Sangeet crossroads to Panjagutta were advised to travel via Patny, Ghasmandi, Tank Bund and Khairatabad. Traffic from Secunderabad towards Bowenpally will be diverted via Paradise and CTO, while commuters from Bowenpally to Secunderabad can use Brook Bond, Tivoli and YMCA routes.

Police also advised heavy vehicles, RTC buses and private travel buses to avoid roads leading to the venue between 6 am and 1 pm. Citizens were urged to preferably use Metro Rail and public transport services to reduce inconvenience. Roadside parking near the venue has been strictly discouraged, with police warning that unauthorised vehicles would be towed and prosecuted. Emergency vehicles, however, would be facilitated depending on ground conditions.

Traffic police said diversions would be lifted immediately after the completion of the programme and urged citizens to cooperate with personnel deployed at junctions and follow real-time updates through social media and FM radio channels.
