Telangana Fire Department Launches Civil Defence Volunteer Training Programme
The training programme aims to equip volunteers with the skills required to provide emergency assistance and support rescue and relief operations during disasters and other emergencies.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department has launched a five-day training programme for Civil Defence Volunteers at Malla Reddy Deemed-to-be University and Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women's University on Tuesday.
The training programme aims to equip volunteers with the skills required to provide emergency assistance and support rescue and relief operations during disasters and other emergencies.
As part of the programme, 400 Civil Defence volunteers are being trained at Malla Reddy Deemed-to-be University, while 200 volunteers are participating in the second batch of training at Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women's University.
The volunteers are receiving practical training in firefighting, rescue operations, first aid, crowd management, disaster preparedness, community awareness and relief operations.
Director General Vikram Singh Mann said the trained volunteers will play a key role in strengthening disaster preparedness across Telangana by supporting the Fire Services Department, Police Department, the National Disaster Response Force, and other line departments during emergencies.
