Telangana: Driver Dies As Earthmover Touches Live Wire
The accident occurred when the lorry transporting the earthmover touched a live high-tension electric wire at Cherukupally: Police

NALGONDA: A driver sitting inside an earthmover (JCB machine) died when the vehicle came into contact with a high-tension power line at Cherukupally in Sathupalli mandal of Khammam district on Monday, police said. The earthmover was being carried in a lorry when the incident happened.
The victim was identified as Reddipogu Venkateshwarlu, 40, a native of Pentlam village in Annapureddypalli mandal.
According to the police, the accident occurred when the lorry transporting the earthmover touched a live high-tension electric wire at Cherukupally. Venkateshwarlu, who was seated on the earthmover, suffered an electric shock and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped unhurt.
The body was shifted to the Government Hospital in Sathupalli for autopsy. Venkateshwarlu is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
