Telangana: Congress To Launch SIR Awareness Drive

The party high command and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan had instructed Congress leaders to actively participate in the SIR process: Naresh Jadhav

ADILABAD: The Congress will organise village-level awareness meetings in Adilabad district to educate people about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls and ensure that all eligible voters are enrolled.

Adilabad District Congress Committee (DCC) president Naresh Jadhav said the party would conduct awareness programmes on the SIR exercise and voter enrolment across villages, following booth-level training programmes for Booth Level Agents (BLAs) held last month.

He said the party high command and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan had instructed Congress leaders to actively participate in the SIR process, organise awareness campaigns and submit reports on booth-level voter mapping, digitisation and enrolment.

Jadhav said the first awareness meeting would be held at Bharampur village in Talamadugu mandal on July 19.
