HANAMKONDA: Hanamkonda District Congress Committee president and Kuda chairman Inagala Venkata Ram Reddy visited a private coaching institute and interacted with students as part of an awareness initiative on academic pressure and the education system.
He visited Acumen IIT-JEE and NEET College and Coaching Institute in Vidyanagar and held discussions with students on their concerns and aspirations.
Addressing the gathering, he said the interaction was part of a nationwide campaign, “Chhatron Ki Goonj”, led by Rahul Gandhi, aimed at highlighting issues faced by students and seeking reforms in the education system.
Referring to the reported death of a student, Sneha, linked to examination pressure, he said the incident had raised concerns over the impact of competitive exams on students.
He urged students not to lose confidence over examination results and said setbacks in exams should not be seen as the end of opportunities.
He said efforts would be made to ensure that students do not face distress due to academic pressure and stressed the need for support systems to address mental stress.
The programme was attended by the institute’s management, faculty and students.
