Telangana: Congress Demands Dismissal Of Tata Madhusudan

Making remarks that allegedly insulted the constitutional office of the Speaker was an affront to democracy: Congress leaders

HANAMKONDA: Congress workers from the Warangal West constituency staged a protest on Monday against the alleged inappropriate remarks made by MLC Tata Madhusudan against Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Following the directions of MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, the protest was led by district SC Cell president Aruri Sambayya at Ambedkar Junction, where they burnt an effigy of the MLC.

Congress leaders said making remarks that allegedly insulted the constitutional office of the Speaker was an affront to democracy. They said such inappropriate comments against the Speaker, who belongs to the Dalit community, were unacceptable.

Later, the Congress leaders approached the Subedari police station and lodged a complaint seeking registration of a case against Tata Madhusudan and appropriate legal action. They also demanded that the MLC be dismissed immediately.
