Revanth Reddy warned of strict action against anyone attempting to disturb peace and harmony

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday directed officials to identify and detain Pakistan and Bangladesh nationals residing illegally in the state. The Chief Minister said illegal migrants posed a potential threat to law and order and instructed the police to set up a dedicated communication system within the Police Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Banjara Hills to monitor their activities.
He warned of strict action against anyone attempting to disturb peace and harmony. Revanth Reddy called for tightening security at all foreign consulates in Hyderabad and enhancing protective measures around IT companies. The orders came during a high-level review meeting held by Revanth Reddy with top police officers at the in the wake of a series of targeted military operations under ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched by India.
Leaves for employees in emergency service departments have been cancelled, with instructions for all staff and officials to remain available. Ministers and officials have been asked to cancel any foreign trips to focus on the situation.
He said all CC cameras across the three police commissionerates in Greater Hyderabad must be integrated into the central command system. Police personnel have been asked to remain on high alert and engage with peace committees to maintain communal harmony. He asked officials to intensify surveillance in all district headquarters and other sensitive zones.
The Chief Minister called for political unity, urging parties to support the Indian Army and avoid inflammatory rhetoric. He warned government employees against making controversial statements in the media or on social platforms, cautioning of strict disciplinary action.
To combat the spread of misinformation, Revanth Reddy said a 24/7 toll-free number will be launched, along with a dedicated special cell to curb fake news and prevent panic and called for reinforcing cybersecurity measures.
Officials were instructed to stock emergency medicines and blood supplies, ensure the availability of hospital beds and strengthen coordination with the Red Cross. Food reserves will also be boosted to meet any emergency needs, the Chief Minister said.
