Rahul, Kharge, Priyanka invited for Congress government’s one-year fete

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and MP Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi on Tuesday and invited them for the Congress government’s first anniversary celebrations in Telangana, sources said.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced to celebrate first anniversary celebrations in a grand manner across the state from December 1 to 9. Revanth Reddy along with Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka met Priyanka Gandhi and congratulated her on her victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypolls with a huge majority of over 4.1 lakh votes.
The CM has invited Kharge and the Gandhis to the unveiling ceremony of Telangana Talli statue at the Secretariat complex on December 9 coinciding with the birthday of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. About one lakh women would be invited for the event, he said.
As part of the celebrations, a public meeting of students and youth would be held in Peddapalli district on December 4. About 9,000 youth, newly recruited for Group-4 jobs, would be handed over appointment letters at the venue. The CM invited AICC leaders to take part in this event.
Revanth Reddy also extended invitations for the celebrations at the Secretariat, Tank Bund and Necklace Road around the Hussainsagar lake to showcase the 'glory of Telangana' from December 7 to 9. Along with various events to highlight Telangana's culture and art forms, musical shows, air shows and drone shows will be organised on the occasion.
