Telangana CM Prajavani Saves an Infant’s Life through Timely Intervention

The CM Prajavani programme ensured that baby Gracy received the life-saving operation she urgently needed

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government’s flagship CM Prajavani programme has helped save the life of a newborn suffering from a critical congenital heart condition. Thanks to the swift intervention of the CM Prajavani team, the infant received timely medical treatment and underwent a life-saving surgery.

K. Anjaneyulu, a daily wage worker from LB Nagar, Hyderabad, was blessed with a baby girl, Gracy. However, soon after birth, the child was diagnosed with a serious heart defect known as Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA) and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

After learning about the complexity of the condition, the distressed father sought medical opinions from another corporate hospital. Following detailed examinations, doctors informed him that the corrective surgery would involve a substantial financial burden.

With no means to afford the treatment, Anjaneyulu approached the CM Prajavani programme seeking assistance. Responding immediately, the CM Prajavani team facilitated the admission of baby Gracy to Star Hospital and coordinated the arrangements for the required cardiac surgery.

The matter was promptly taken up with senior officials of the Health department, and necessary steps were initiated to ensure that the entire cost of treatment was covered by the government.

Under the scheme, Rs.8 lakh was sanctioned, enabling the surgery to be performed without imposing any financial burden on the family.

Through dedicated coordination and timely action, the CM Prajavani programme ensured that baby Gracy received the life-saving operation she urgently needed. Many have described this incident as a shining example of how the Prajavani initiative stands by citizens during times of crisis and provides hope and support to those in need.
