Congress Government Got Rs 3.28 Lakh Crore Investments to State, Says Revanth

The state government would unveil its 'TelanganaRising 2047' vision document on December 9, 2025 : Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said that Telangana had attracted investments worth Rs 3.28 lakh crore in the 18 months since his government assumed office in December 2023.

Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of ICHOR Biologics' facility at Genome Valley in Shamirpet, the Chief Minister highlighted his government’s efforts to position Telangana as a preferred destination under the global ‘China Plus One’ strategy, which encourages businesses to diversify supply chains beyond China.

"The entire world, after Covid pandemic, wants to shift investments and production. Most are looking towards India. But I want to make Telangana and Hyderabad their first choice. That's why we are creating a robust ecosystem, infrastructure, and progressive policies," Revanth Reddy said.

He welcomed investors in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles and IT, assuring government support, incentives and swift clearances. He also announced that the state would unveil its ‘TelanganaRising 2047’ vision document on December 9, coinciding with the second anniversary of his government.

The ambitious vision aims to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, contributing 10 per cent to India’s national goal of becoming a $30 trillion economy by that year.

While continuing the best industrial policies adopted by previous Telugu Desam, Congress and BRS governments in combined Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Revanth Reddy said his government was trying to attract more investments to the state by improving these policies. Referring to Hyderabad’s Genome Valley as the “vaccine and bulk drugs capital of the world,” Revanth Reddy highlighted its critical role during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Around 33 per cent of vaccines and 43 per cent of bulk drugs in India are produced in Hyderabad. Genome Valley played a key role during the pandemic by exporting vaccines globally," he noted, crediting the local industrialists for their contributions.

Revanth Reddy reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhancing Telangana’s industrial appeal, stating that policy simplification and global competitiveness are top priorities. "Our policies will be globally competitive and futuristic," he said.

The Chief Minister added that Hyderabad was on course to becoming a major ‘Data City,’ tapping into the next wave of digital and data-driven innovation. The event was attended by IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu, labour and mines minister Vivek Venkataswamy, senior government officials and prominent industry leaders.
