CM Revanth Reddy Greets KCR In The Assembly
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy approached KCR, greeted him, and enquired about his health during the first day of the Winter Assembly Session.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy walked up to his predecessor K. Chandrashekar Rao and greeted him on Monday, highlight of the day when the Assembly Winter Session commenced on a sedate note. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
The much-anticipated presence of Chandrashekar Rao was brief. He who took the seat reserved for the Leader of Opposition, arriving before the Chief Minister, spent just a few minutes, and left shortly after the session commenced.
The session was adjourned after the House paid tributes to former MLAs R. Damodar Reddy and K. Laxma Reddy, who passed away recently, and the government tabled ordinances that were issued in the past few months.
Revanth Reddy later in the day described his going over to Rao to greet him was a matter of courtesy. During a brief chat with reporters in the Assembly lobbies, Revanth Reddy, answering a question about what transpired between the two, said, “Why will I reveal what we talked about?”
On possible reasons why Rao left the Assembly after being there for a few minutes, Revanth Reddy said: “This is a question that he needs to be asked.”
Revanth Reddy also said this was not the first time he had interacted with the BRS chief. “We respect all members of the House. It is not just today. I met with KCR when he was in the hospital too.”
Among those who accompanied the Chief Minister when he greeted Rao were ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Congress MLAS.
Earlier, in the House, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar led the House in paying tribute to Suryapet former MLA Ramireddy Damodar Reddy, and Chevella former MLA Konda Laxma Reddy. He later initiated the Zero Hour during which members various issues.
The AIMIM raised issues related Greater Hyderabad, while BRS MLA T. Harish Rao asked about the employees and police staff issues, and BJP floor leader Aleti Maheswar Reddy asked the House to urge everyone to maintain decorum, and sought time for the opposition parties. After Zero Hour, the House was adjourned to meet again on January 2.
During the Zero Hour, in a rarely witnessed occurrence, the Speaker raised the issue of monkey menace in different districts. The Speaker asked minister D. Sridhar Babu to look into the issue, which he said was posing a major challenge in Vikarabad district resulting in large number of farmers suffering.
Soon after the House adjourned for the day, the Chief Minister, along with the Speaker, and Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, inspected the ongoing renovation works in the old legislature building. They were briefed about the ongoing work and Revanth Reddy directed the officials to speed up the construction works.

Telangana Assembly Session Begins; CM Revanth Greets KCR, Enquires About Health
Hyderabad: The Telangana Legislative Assembly session began on Monday with members observing condolence motions for late former MLAs Ramreddy Damodar Reddy and Konda Lakshma Reddy.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Leader of the Opposition K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) were in attendance, along with other ministers and MLAs. In a noteworthy display of political cordiality, CM Revanth Reddy approached KCR, offering greetings and inquiring about his health. Several ministers, including Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu, Adluri Laxman, Seethakka, and MLA Naveen Yadav, also exchanged pleasantries with the BRS chief. Following the condolence motions, KCR left the House.
The government has a significant legislative agenda for this session, aiming to grant legal approval to several key measures. These include merging municipalities within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits into the GHMC, increasing the number of GHMC wards from 150 to 300, removing the 'two-child norm' for contesting local body elections, amending the Telangana GST Act, and employee rationalisation.
A Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting is scheduled to take place after the adjournment of the first day's proceedings to determine the duration of the Assembly and Council sessions.

KCR Attends & Leaves Telangana Assembly Session
BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao attended the Legislative Assembly session on Monday after a two years.The former Chief Minister arrived at the Assembly premises in the morning, accompanied by BRS MLAs.He signed the attendance record book and then left the Assembly without participating in the initial discussions of the winter session.
