Telangana Allocates Rs 25 Cr for Saraswati Pushkaralu 2025

Warangal: The Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 25 crore for arrangements ahead of the Saraswati Pushkaralu, scheduled to take place from May 15 to 26 at the Triveni Sangamam in Kaleshwaram, Mahadevpur mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.

The funding also supports preparations for other major religious events, including the Kumbha Abhishekam from February 1 to 9, Maha Shivaratri celebrations starting February 26, and the Saraswati Pushkaralu.

Endowments minister Konda Surekha directed officials to ensure the success of these events with adequate facilities. The endowments department, led by principal secretary Shailaja Ramayyar and commissioner Sridhar, has been tasked with constructing bathing ghats, widening roads, improving drainage systems, and implementing other essential infrastructure.

Minister Surekha emphasised that this year’s Saraswati Pushkaralu will surpass the 2013 event organised by the previous Congress government, aiming to provide a more spiritually enriching and memorable experience for devotees.

S. Mahesh, the newly appointed executive officer of the Kaleshwara Mukteswara Swamy temple, said that temple officials have conducted multiple review meetings to finalise arrangements for the influx of devotees.

Officials have also extended invitations to religious leaders, including the head of the Sringeri Peetham, and are overseeing the progress of the Goddess Saraswati statue being crafted in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.
