Telangana Adds 9,433 BTech Seats

Of the total, 90,921 seats fall under the convenor quota and will be filled through the TG EAPCET 2025 web-based counselling process.

Hyderabad: The state government has increased the number of engineering seats by nearly 10,000 for the academic year 2025–26. Initially, 1,07,444 seats were sanctioned, and an additional 9,433 seats have now been approved, taking the total to 1,16,877.

Of the total, 90,921 seats fall under the convenor quota and will be filled through the TG EAPCET 2025 web-based counselling process. The remaining seats will be filled under the management quota by private engineering colleges.

In the first phase of counselling, 59,980 seats were allotted. This leaves 30,941 seats to be filled in the second phase.

Web options for the second phase of counselling will open on Sunday, and provisional allotment of seats will be made on or before July 30. Tuition fee payment and self-reporting through the website will be available from July 30 to August 1.

Candidates must report physically at their allotted colleges between July 31 and August 2. The final phase of counselling, including fresh registrations, will begin on August 5.
