Telangana ACB Identifies 8 Alleged Benamis of DSP Bheem Reddy, Conducts Raids

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have identified eight of the benami people of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sankireddy Bheem Reddy.
Under the supervision of ACB DSP G Sridhar, they conducted raids at the houses of Bheem Reddy benamis in Puppalaguda. They seized cash and other crucial documents allegedly linking transactions between Reddy and his benamis.
On July 7, 2026, the ACB arrested Bheem Reddy, following searches, which unearthed assets worth about Rs.150 crore by market value and denied that it has shown preferential treatment to him.
It conducted simultaneous searches at 16 locations of alleged benamidars of Bheem Reddy, family members, associates and friends in Telangana and Karnataka. However, as the accused official’s blood pressure shot up, the ACB allowed his family members to admit him to a private hospital based on his previous health records.
“As Bheem Reddy was admitted to a private hospital, we couldn’t record his statement. After recording his statement and other official formalities, we will produce him before the ACB Principal SPE judge for judicial remand,” an ACB official disclosed.
A few weeks ago, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has registered a case under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act (PMLA) against Bheem Reddy who had been arrested by the ACB following the discovery of unaccounted-for disproportionate assets.
The central agency's probe follows an ongoing investigation into allegations that Bheem Reddy amassed Rs.150 crore by market value in disproportionate assets through corrupt practices. ED officials were said to be tracking multiple real estate properties allegedly purchased using proceeds of corruption.
