Nizamabad: The condition of a 7-year-old girl remains critical after she and her 10-year-old sister reportedly ingested pesticide on Saturday in School Thanda village, Ramareddy mandal, Kamareddy district. Both children are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Yellareddypet, Rajanna Sircilla district.
According to the girls' parents, the incident occurred at home following humiliation by fellow students at their government school. The parents allege that the emotional distress led to the tragic decision, though they have not lodged a formal complaint with the police.
Local villagers indicated that the pesticide consumption may have been accidental. While the elder sister was able to explain that they had ingested the chemical, the 7-year-old victim could not articulate the details of the incident. Villagers are praying for the swift recovery of both children.
