Police reached the house after neighbours alerted them about a foul smell: Reports

NALGONDA: Four members of a family were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their house in Telangana Colony on Sagar Road in Nalgonda, police said on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Mohammed Sulthan, 45, his wife Haseena, 41, his son Muzammil, 20, and daughter Abhquarha, 14. Sulthan ran bags shop in Prakash Bazaar, Haseena worked as a teacher in a private school, Muzammil was an AC mechanic and Abhquarha was a Class 10 student.
Police reached the house after neighbours alerted them about a foul smell. They broke open the main gate and found the four bodies inside. The gate was locked from inside and the room doors were open.
Police suspect the family may have died three to four days ago as the bodies were decomposed. Relatives told police the couple frequently quarrelled over family issues. Muzammil and Abhquarha were Sulthan’s children from his first wife.
Superintendent of police Sharath Chandra Pawar visited the house. He said it was yet to be ascertained whether the deaths were due to suicide or murder.
