Telangana: 10-Year Imprisonment for Two in Murder Case

Upon examining the evidence presented, the judge found both accused guilty and delivered the verdict.

Warangal: The District Principal Judge, Nirmala Geethamba, on Wednesday sentenced two individuals to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each in connection with a murder case that occurred three years ago at Ursu Gutta in Warangal.

According to the police, the incident took place on August 27, 2022, near Mahalakshmi Bakery at Ursu Gutta, under the jurisdiction of Mills Colony police station in Warangal. The accused — Gadudula Rajesh and Jannu Harikrishna alias Bunty — stabbed and killed a man named Vanam Rakesh, who had objected to their act of urinating in a public place.

Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s brother, the then Inspector M. Srinivas registered a case and carried out a detailed investigation. After gathering all necessary evidence, a charge sheet was filed and submitted to the court.

Upon examining the evidence presented, the judge found both accused guilty and delivered the verdict.

Public Prosecutor Siraboyina Srinivas argued on behalf of the prosecution. Court duty constable Dauda Pratap presented the witnesses, while Kantheti Harikrishna served as the Liaison Officer in the case.
