HYDERABAD: A one-day training programme on urban local bodies audit procedures and GST was conducted at the Regional Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies, Osmania University, on Wednesday. The initiative was aimed to familiarise audit officers with the latest statutory provisions, including GST, EPF, and other compliance requirements relevant to ULBs.
The programme, attended by 60 assistant audit officers, was inaugurated by university Vice Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram. He underscored the growing importance of digital transformation and technology-driven audit systems. He strongly advocated the adoption of online auditing mechanisms to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timely compliance in ULB operations.
