Tarun Joshi Appointed Future City CP in Major Telangana IPS Reshuffle
The reshuffle touches key departments including Home, Vigilance, Intelligence, and city policing, signaling a strategic repositioning of top brass ahead of the new month.

Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer Shikha Goel was on Friday transferred and posted as principal secretary, home, indicating the imminent appointment of C.V. Anand, who currently holds the post, as the Director General of Police with effect from May 1.
The state government on Friday issued orders notifying transfers and postings of seven IPS officers, which will come into effect from May 1. The city region will also get two new commissioners of police — Tarun Joshi for Future City and B. Sumathi for Malkajgiri.
Goel will continue to hold full additional charge (FAC) as director of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau and director of the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory until further orders.
Devendra Singh Chauhan was transferred and posted as director-general (vigilance and enforcement) and as ex officio principal secretary, general administration department, replacing Shikha Goel.
Shahnawaz Qasim, director general of the Drugs Control Administration, has been posted as Inspector General of police (IGP), Multi-Zone 2, and has also been placed in the FAC of IGP (Personnel).
Tarun Joshi, director of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), has been posted as the commissioner of police, Future City, in place of G. Sudheer Babu, who will be retiring from service on April 30.
Avinash Mohanty was posted as director-general, Drugs Control Administration-Telangana, and Director of Prohibition and Excise. He has also been placed in FAC as Director, ACB.
B. Sumathi, who is the IGP of the Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB), Intelligence, has been transferred and posted as the commissioner of police, Malkajgiri. Kartikeya, IGP, Intelligence, has been placed in FAC as the IGP, SIB, Intelligence, relieving Sumathi from the post.
