Take Mookerjee Legacy as Inspiration, Rao to Cadre
Rao paid tribute to the visionary leader and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fulfilling his cherished goal of ‘One Nation, One Flag, One Law, One Election’

HYDERABAD: On the birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, founder of the BJP’s precursor Bharatiya Jana Sangh, party state president N. Ramchander Rao paid tribute to the visionary leader and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fulfilling his cherished goal of ‘One Nation, One Flag, One Law, One Election’.
Addressing party workers at the state BJP office, Rao emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already taken a historic step towards this vision by abrogating Article 370, thereby making Mookerjee’s vision into a tangible reality.
He urged party activists to remain dedicated to the unity and integrity of the nation, highlighting Dr Mookerjee’s enduring legacy as a source of inspiration for all BJP leaders and workers. “Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, who founded the Jana Sangh and stood firm on ideological grounds, courageously championed the Kashmir issue and fought against the concept of having two Prime Ministers, two flags, and two constitutions within India,” Ramchander Rao said.
Speaking on the circumstances surrounding Dr Mookerjee’s death, Rao described it as suspicious and remarked that his life symbolises unparalleled sacrifice and courage.
Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, MLC Anji Reddy , BJP state vice-presidents Dr Gangidi Manohar Reddy, state general secretary Gujjula Premender Reddy, state secretaries G. Umarani and Kolli Madhavi, treasurer Bandari Shanti Kumar and other leaders participated in the celebrations.
