T-RACSHA app to be ready in four weeks, state assures HC

Hyderabad: The state government on Thursday submitted to the Telangana High Court that T-Rachsa App, which was launched a month back to enable citizens to lodge complaints with regard to potholes on roads in the city, would take more time to provide its services.

Following the High Court directions in the PILs filed regarding lack of a grievance mechanism for road safety and filling up potholes, the government developed the app, which was launched on December 13, 2024. It is maintained by the roads & buildings department, and covers approximately 30,000 km.

Counsels for the petitioners submitted to the court that the app had not been rolled out in respect of roads maintained by panchayat raj department, GHMC and HMDA.

Responding to it, additional advocate general Mohammed Imran Khan submitted that the three wings have been developing a similar app in respect of the roads maintained by them. He submitted that it will be completed within four weeks.

According to the road safety policy, state governments have to set up a grievance redress mechanism to enable people to lodge complaints about the poor condition of streets/roads by addressing letters or using the mobile app by uploading photographs or by accessing the official website of the respective departments.
