Swetha Reddy Takes Charge As Warangal Police Commissioner

Swetha Reddy arrived at the Commissionerate office in the morning and was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by armed police personnel before formally assuming office.

Warangal: Senior IPS officer N. Swetha Reddy on Wednesday assumed charge as Commissioner of Police, Warangal Commissionerate, stating that maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety would be her foremost priorities.

She took over from Sun Preet Singh, who has been transferred as joint commissioner of traffic, Cyberabad, as part of a recent reshuffle of IPS officers in Telangana.

Swetha Reddy arrived at the Commissionerate office in the morning and was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by armed police personnel before formally assuming office.

Deputy commissioners of police, assistant commissioners, inspectors and other personnel of the commissionerate called on the new Commissioner and greeted her, presenting saplings and notebooks.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the protection of public safety, maintenance of peace and order, prevention of crime and delivery of efficient policing services would be key priorities under her leadership.

She said officers and personnel would work in coordination to strengthen policing and improve services to citizens. The Commissioner added that efforts would be made to enhance public confidence through effective, transparent and people-friendly policing initiatives.
