Suryapet: APSRTC, Private Bus Collide on Vijayawada-Hyderabad Highway
According to reports, the APSRTC bus allegedly rammed into the private bus from behind after its driver suddenly applied the brakes. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the APSRTC bus, leaving its driver trapped inside the cabin.

Hyderabad: A private travels bus and an APSRTC bus collided on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway shortly after midnight on Sunday. The accident occurred near Akupamula in Suryapet district.
The private travels bus was travelling from Narsapur to Hyderabad, while the APSRTC bus was heading from Eluru to Hyderabad.
According to reports, the APSRTC bus allegedly rammed into the private bus from behind after its driver suddenly applied the brakes. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the APSRTC bus, leaving its driver trapped inside the cabin.
Police reached the spot and launched a rescue operation, which reportedly continued for nearly two hours to free the driver. A few passengers sustained injuries in the accident and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
