BJP, BRS and MIM parties also busy with the finalisation of contesting candidates.
Nizamabad: Political parties, especially the ruling Congress party decided to win majority of seats in municipal elections. Based on survey on winning candidates in municipal elections, the parties will finalise the contesting candidates in Nizamabad Municipal Corporation and other municipalities in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts.
The survey team moving fast in urban areas and collecting the information of winning candidates. From Galli (residential colonies in towns) to Delhi party high commands will finalise the situation. The survey teams moving in all municipal towns and inquiring about victory chances. For the first time, the senior Congress leaders are also not directly involving in finalisation of municipal corporator and municipal councillor posts.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Nizamabad district Congress committee president K.Nagesh Reddy said that survey teams inquiring about victory of Congress party and candidates. ‘We are focussed on Bodhan, Armoor and Bheemgal municipalities’, he said. Following the survey reports, the candidates will win in the elections, he said. Meanwhile, Nizamabad city Congress committee president Bobbili Ramakrishna participated in Congress seniors meetings on municipal elections.
Meanwhile, BJP, BRS and MIM parties also busy with the finalisation of contesting candidates. There is huge demand for ruling Congress party tickets. BJP and MIM parties also picking up suitable candidates in positive areas. Surprisingly, BRS party is unable to get demand for municipal election tickets. BRS MLA V.Prashanth Reddy and former MLAs are trying field suitable candidates for municipal elections.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, former BRS MLA Surender said that they are coordinating with the party leaders to field them in the municipal elections. BRS party working president KT Rama Rao is directly monitoring the municipal contesting candidates in districts, he said. People are ready to support BRS in municipal wards, he said. Final situation will come to the fore soon, he said.
