Surekha’s Photo Missing From Smart Ration Card Flexi Sparks Speculation
Absence from Mahabubabad ration card event fuels questions over minister’s political future

Mahabubabad: The absence of minister Konda Surekha’s photograph from a flexi put up for the distribution of smart ration cards in Mahabubabad district has triggered speculation in Congress circles.
Photographs of ministers and elected representatives are generally featured on publicity material for government programmes, making the omission noteworthy amid discussions over Surekha’s political future.
Congress sources said AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal is expected to reach Delhi on September 2, after which the party leadership may discuss the recommendations of its disciplinary committee. Some party leaders have linked the omission of Surekha’s photograph to these developments.
However, there has been no official explanation for the missing photograph.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has reportedly said the disciplinary committee’s decision would be final.
Against this backdrop, the omission has led to speculation over whether it was an administrative oversight or had any political significance.
