Supreme Court Adjourns Telangana MLC Appointments Case to March 19
The bench observed that in its interim order dated August 13 last year had already clarified that the Governor was required to take a decision in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet.

Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing in the MLC appointments case filed by Dasoju Sravan of the BRS to March 19, observing that the matter involved important constitutional questions that required detailed consideration and hearing of all parties concerned. Accordingly, the matter was posted for further hearing on March 19.
The bench comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta also directed that the Attorney General for India be present on the next date of hearing.
The bench observed that in its interim order dated August 13 last year had already clarified that the Governor was required to take a decision in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet.
Amer Ali Khan on December 5 last year had approached the Supreme Court by filing a vacation application seeking lifting of the orders passed in relation to his election. The court directed that this application be tagged with the main petition filed by Dr Sravan and passed consequential orders to that effect.
