Sunday’s shobha yatra breaks 15-year old record, says Raja Singh

Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA T Raja Singh on Monday thanked everyone, who took part in Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra organized on Sunday from Aakashpuri Hanuman Temple in Dhoolpet to Hanuman Vyayamshala in Ramkote and made it a grand success.

“This year’s Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra has created a new history by breaking all the records of the last 15 years. I express my heartfelt thanks to all Shri Ram devotees, mothers, sisters and the entire Hindu community,” he said.

Raja Singh especially thanked those who put separate stages at different places all along the yatra route and welcomed the devotees offering water, free food distribution, ‘sharbath’ and juices, bringing relief from sweltering heat yesterday.

He appreciated the role of the entire machinery and the participants for making the yatra a success. The yatra that started from Aakashpuri Hanuman Temple passed through the main thoroughfares of Anita Tower, Puranapool Gandhi Statue, Jummerat Bazar, Chudi Bazar, Begum Bazar Chatri, Swastik Mirchi, Siddiambar Bazar Masjid, Gowliguda Gurudwara, Koti Women's College, Sulthan Bazar and concluded at Hanuman Vyayamshala in Ramkote.

The Hyderabad police made elaborate security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the yatra. As many as 20,000 people were deployed for the yatra.
