Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand here Wednesday made it clear that stringent action would be taken against those who spread false news regarding the current situation.
Speaking to media persons, Anand said a detailed presentation on plan of action was made to the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy during a high-level meeting held in Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Banjara Hills after the commencement of Operation Sindoor.
The ICCC would be a nodal centre for the entire operations from now onwards, he said. He said the leaves of all the officers were cancelled for the next few days and added that all the officers must be on high alert during the present situation.
Instructions have been issued to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to be fully prepared from its side and the Medical and Department would also be prepared for first aid precautions. “We received instructions from the Centre on launching operation Abhyaas for the preparedness and precautionary measures to be taken during a war,” he said.
He explained in detail the preparations for conducting mock drills at four places in Hyderabad and added that the necessity of war sirens became vital after 55 years.
