State Keen on Strengthening Cooperative Banking System: Tummala
Tummala said the government is taking measures to ensure timely sanction of agricultural loans and delivery of other banking services to the public.

Nalgonda: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday said the Telangana government is committed to strengthening the cooperative banking system in both rural and urban areas to ensure quality financial services for the people.
Along with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, he inaugurated a new branch of the District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) at Karunagiri in Edulapuram of Khammam district.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said cooperative banking services should be made easily accessible to farmers. He observed that the growth of the cooperative sector would contribute to greater financial empowerment of farmers.
Tummala said the government is taking measures to ensure timely sanction of agricultural loans and delivery of other banking services to the public.
Expressing confidence that the expansion of the DCCB network would improve banking access, he said the new branch would help provide better services to local residents.
Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy, district collector Diwakara T.S., commissioner of police Sunil Dutt and Telangana state warehousing corporation chairman Rayala Nageswara Rao were present.
