Srisailam Reservoir Continues to Get Heavy Inflows

The reservoir is receiving inflows of 2.45 lakh cusecs from Jurala project. Against its full reservoir level (FRL) of 885 feet, the current water level has reached 863.90 feet

Hyderabad: The Srisailam reservoir continues to receive heavy inflows from the upstream areas.

The reservoir is receiving inflows of 2.45 lakh cusecs from Jurala project. Against its full reservoir level (FRL) of 885 feet, the current water level has reached 863.90 feet. The reservoir's gross storage capacity is 215.807 TMC ft, while the present storage stands at 118.6216 TMC ft.

Meanwhile, officials have commenced power generation at the Left Bank Hydroelectric Power Station. After generating electricity, 4,267 cusecs of water is being released downstream to the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir. In addition, 800 cusecs of water is being supplied to the Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
