Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) G Srijana conducted a field visit to examine possible connectivity options across the Lingampally–Borabanda MMTS railway line.
The visit focused on increasing traffic movement between the HKC, Financial district and Kokapet, Kukatpally, Nizampet and Mayuri Nagar, and the need for additional connectivity across the railway line.
During the inspection, the following options were examined on the ground including new elevated corridors-cum-RoBs towards Miyapur Metro Station and Mayuri Nagar, connectivity from Shilpa Layout towards JNTU Metro Station and Nizampet X Roads, including an underpass option.
Widening of Hafeezpet and Kukatpally RoBs from four lanes to six lanes, connectivity from Khaithalapur RoB to Kukatpally Highway through GOCL Road and road widening from NIA Junction near Yashoda Hospital towards Kondapur, through the Hitex–Mundikunta stretch were also examined.
The options were reviewed at site to understand the existing road conditions, available space and practical connectivity requirements. Further action will be taken after examination of the feasibility of the proposed options, according to officials.
