STATION GHANPUR: Former deputy chief minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari questioned the assets of the KCR family, alleging that BRS leaders had amassed properties worth thousands of crores by exploiting Telangana’s resources.
Speaking at a programme at the Rythu Vedika in Dharmasagar mandal on Friday, where Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund cheques were distributed, Srihari demanded that the Kalvakuntla family disclose the value of its assets before 2014 and their current value.
Referring to election affidavits, he questioned how those who had declared that they did not own even an acre of land in 2014 had subsequently acquired hundreds of acres.
Srihari alleged that BRS leaders were launching counterattacks instead of explaining how assets worth thousands of crores were accumulated during their decade in power. He also questioned whether the BRS government had provided even an acre of land or a single job to activists who had spearheaded the Telangana movement.
He said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had disclosed details of BRS leaders’ assets on the Assembly floor and said those facing allegations over their assets had a responsibility to respond.
