Sridhar Babu Urges Singapore Firms to Invest in Bharat Future City

The Minister said Singapore’s technological and industrial expertise could contribute to the development of Telangana’s semiconductor ecosystem

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has urged Singapore companies to explore investment opportunities in "Bharat Future City", being developed by the Telangana government as a new urban and economic growth centre.

Sridhar Babu made the appeal during a meeting with a high-level Singapore delegation led by Augustine Lee, Permanent Secretary (Energy and Trade), Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore, at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat here on Wednesday.

The Minister said Singapore’s technological and industrial expertise could contribute to the development of Telangana’s semiconductor ecosystem, and invited Singapore companies to explore opportunities in semiconductor fabrication, ancillary industries and an integrated supply chain.

He said Telangana was seeking to strengthen its position as a destination for high-value industries, research and development and technology-driven enterprises through international partnerships.

The Minister highlighted investment opportunities for Singapore companies in sectors including IT and IT-enabled services, emerging technologies, semiconductors, electronics, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, biotechnology, aerospace, green technology, renewable energy, logistics, urban infrastructure, research and development and skill development.

Sridhar Babu also urged the Singapore delegation to promote awareness among Singapore-based companies about investment opportunities in Telangana and encourage them to explore the State as a destination for future investments.

He invited the Singapore Government and Singapore companies to participate in the "Telangana Rising Global Summit–2026", scheduled to be held from December 7 to 9, and sought their support in facilitating wider participation from Singapore. The summit is being organised under the State's investment-focused agenda, with Bharat Future City featuring prominently in the event.
