Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, on Friday paid tributes to the mortal remains of Greyhounds constable T Sandeep, who was martyred in a Maoist landmine blast in Mulugu district bordering Telangana and Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
The Minister consoled the bereaved family, assuring them of the government's unwavering support, and affirmed that the State would stand by them in every possible way.
Sandeep was among the three junior commandos of Greyhounds, which is an elite anti-Naxalite wing in Telangana force, killed in the landmine blast.
The incident happened between Wazeedu and Perur forest region in Mulugu where the personnel of Greyhounds in coordination with the special police of Mulugu district were carrying out a search operation apart from detecting IEDs.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
