Sridhar Babu Launches ₹72.88-Cr Development Works In Manthani

KARIMNAGAR: IT minister D. Sridhar Babu laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth about ₹72.88 crore on Monday in the Manthani constituency of Peddapalli district, with a focus on public infrastructure, community welfare, and urban beautification.

A key project was the foundation stone ceremony for a new Roads and Buildings (R&B) guest house being constructed at a cost of ₹4.5 crore near the Kuchivaripalli school.

To improve connectivity and public facilities, the minister sanctioned several transport-related projects, including new bus stands at Sriram Nagar, Kuchirajupalli, and Ganapuri, each costing ₹10 lakh. He also launched a major bridge project worth ₹9.3 crore connecting Boyinpeta and Gangpuri. In addition, he visited the site of the proposed Advanced Technology Centres (ATC), an ambitious project estimated at ₹45.15 crore.

Significant funds were allocated for community halls and religious institutions. The minister laid foundation stones for community halls for the Munnuru Kapu, Scheduled Caste, Brahmin, Padmashali, and Arya Vysya communities.

Community halls for trade unions, including tailors and barbers’ associations, were also sanctioned. Beautification and construction works were launched for temples dedicated to Pochamma, Hanuman, and Ayyappa, along with an Idgah project costing ₹30 lakh.

Public service infrastructure also received attention, with foundation stones laid for a Women’s Building and a Retired Employees’ Recreation Club, each costing ₹50 lakh. The minister also inaugurated a Media Press Club and a daycare centre for senior citizens. In the education sector, a compound wall was sanctioned for the MPPS school.

The programme concluded with the distribution of Indiramma House sanction letters to 317 beneficiaries and Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to 125 families from Manthani, Mutharam, Ramagiri, and Kamanpur mandals.
