Minister Ponnam Offers First Bonam as Lashkar Bonalu Begins

Hyderabad: The Lashkar Bonalu celebrations, one of Telangana's most significant religious festivals, began on a grand note in Secunderabad on Sunday, with thousands of devotees thronging the historic Ujjaini Mahankali Temple to offer Bonam to the presiding deity.

Devotees started arriving at the temple in the early hours of the morning.

On behalf of the Telangana government, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar offered the first Bonam to Goddess Ujjaini Mahankali, formally marking the commencement of this year's celebrations.
