Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrated with fervor in Hyderabad

All devotees participated in the sacred ‘jhulan’ and ‘unjala seva’ to Sri Laddu Gopal, deepening their spiritual connection with the lord.

Hyderabad: Devotees celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with fervor across the city on Saturday.

Long queens were seen at Sri Krishna temples in the city especially at ISKCON near Sangeeth junction in Secunderabad, Nampally and Attapur and at Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills, Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Narsingi, and Hare Krishna Cultural Centre at Kandi in Sangareddy.

These temples were decked up with flowers and LED lights to mark the occasion. The celebrations ensured a blissful and immersive experience for all devotees. At Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills, the Janmashtami offered a unique opportunity to have darshan of Lord Sri Krishna’s enchanting forms as Sri Radha Govinda, Sri Godha Krishna and Sri Laddu Gopal

All devotees participated in the sacred ‘jhulan’ and ‘unjala seva’ to Sri Laddu Gopal, deepening their spiritual connection with the lord. Special ‘poojas’, ‘abhishekam’, ‘maha arati’ and ‘jhulan’ were also conducted at the temples.

A large number of devotees turned up at the ISKCON temples in Secunderabad, Nampally and Attapur and had darshan of lord Sri Krishna. Several parents brought their children in lord Sri Krishna attire with a bamboo flute in their hands, drawing the attention of devotees. A few of them took selfies of these children with their smartphones.

The temple committee made special arrangements for prasadam distribution and devotees’ convenience, ensuring a smooth and spiritually uplifting experience for all visitors.

On their part, the police made necessary arrangements at the ISKCON temples for a proper queue system. Additional police were also deployed to regulate traffic at these temples.
