Speeding SUV Hits School Auto; Two Students Injured
The SI said the road at the accident spot was narrow. Passers-by and local residents helped remove the students and their schoolbags from the damaged auto before police reached the spot.
ADILABAD: Two schoolgirls suffered grievous injuries after a speeding SuV vehicle rammed a school-going auto near CSI X Road in Luxettipet town of Mancherial district on Tuesday morning.
According to Luxettipet sub-inspector Suresh, the auto was proceeding towards a ZPHS school from Bhagath Singh Colony when the SuV, coming from the opposite direction, hit it. At the time of the accident, ten students were travelling in the auto.
Following the impact, the auto slipped into a roadside culvert. Two girl students sustained serious injuries, while the remaining students suffered minor injuries. All the injured were shifted to the community hospital for treatment.
